Senior or Elder

Senior is associated with a younger person. For example, “meet John Jr., and his father, John Sr.” When used in relation to The Grey Wave, I don’t like it. I prefer Elder. This doesn’t imply there’s a junior version of me somewhere and is what the natives still refer to their elderly. It is a term associated with knowledge.
